Indian Trend Report

Before I do the Fall 2014 trend report, I figured I should a Lehnga report. I am loving all the pastels with Gota work, for a simple look. It is prefect for the smaller functions or for bridesmaids! Light and airy, these lehngas would be dream to wear. Even though wedding season is pretty much over in Canada, it is just about to begin in India, so naturally this is when the trends begin for the next year!

First, lets begin with the gorgeous tulle dresses with metallic details. I am in love the soft peachy/blush hues. As I mentioned it would be great for a smaller function..or a big one because they are so light and lovely.

And then we have colours! No Indian function is complete without tonnes of colour, so naturally bright orange and pinks are a must! But I am loving the neutral options with creams and blacks. I the zebra print saree is to die for!

La Fashionista: New obession... Scallop Detail!

I know all the rage is about florals and blushes for the spring (which I LOVE), but I think I have found a new reason to be excited! I am seeing Scallop details everywhere, from purses to dresses to shorts! It is super cute and can turn and ordinary outfit into cool and chic!

Scallop detail looks chic on evening dresses, and even purses and wallets purses..I love how it has that Art deco feel.

Even in swimwear!! I love this Ted Baker piece, but really I say you just can't go wrong with Scallop! It is chic, classy and of course a classic!

La Fashionista: Trending sarees

Saris are going through a crazy transition right now. Traditionally they used to be either heavily embroidered or simple with prints. But now you can have it all, prints mixed with embroidered tulle, tulle mixed with heavy velvet, or just simple graphic prints! It is so hard to decide what to buy now, but I think I have a favorite in the mix, can you spot it ;) .

The floral pink and black tulle, simple yet elegant, it has all the trends in one sari! But if I could afford them I would buy them all!

La Fashionista: Flats and Sandals

Even though it is technically winter, I can't help but daydream about spring. Anthropologie's new summer shoe collection is so dreamy! I am in love with each and every single piece, the colours are so beautiful. I love all the neutrals and a hint of colour here and there.

 I like the muted metallics, and how cute are the banana leaf ones! My fave have to be the black spot flats.

What is there not to love..Rose gold, Coral, Embroidery and Pompoms!

La Fashionista: Dark Florals

When I first saw dark blooms on the runway, something like this image came to my mind, and I was in love right away!

Even though this trend  has been for sometime, it is not slowing down! It has been all over the runways for a few years, and showed up in dresses, jackets, even scarfs and shoes! I personally bought a scarf simply so I could wear this trend everyday! But I knew these big dark florals was here to stay when I was walking by the Adidas store and saw floral hoodies and t shirts! So I compiled a few of my favorite pictures of this trend.
