I have been on a hunt for Pink Agate coasters for almost 2 years. I have found them online, but a set of 4 can cost up to $60!, I am sorry but for a set of coasters..I am not sure if it is worth spending that kind of money. So, I waited..and waited..until one day I walked in the
Royal Ontario Museum store and found myself in Agate heaven! There were 3 different colours (blue, pink and purple) to choose from, and in all different sizes. Best of all, they were individually priced so you can buy as many as you like! I picked up 4 of the pink ones, of course. As pretty as they were, I did need to spruce them up a bit. So I pulled out my handy Martha Stewart gold metallic paints, same ones I used in the
Rocks DIY and gave them a little makeover.
My dad collects agates but sadly none in his collection are pink😢 this DIY is the best ever!!x

DeleteThis is such a great Idea!! I need to find some for myself. My grandfather did a lot of stuff with rocks like this, so they've always been special to me.
ReplyDeleteI love decorating with rocks..they are so pretty and come in so many colours!
DeleteI so seriously LOVE this post - because I also have been hunting for these types of coasters (pink as well!) but they cost TOO much! What a great idea - and I am totally going to use the DIY from you when I find some less expensive "coasters" to redo!
